Rlc. Husky Boy × Solar Flare brings together two lines of complex Cattleya hybrids, selected for their floral and horticultural characteristics. Husky Boy contributes a complex lineage featuring Cattleya briegeri, C. dowiana, and C. walkeriana, while Solar Flare descends from San Juan Sunset and C. Penny Kuroda. The result represents the potential of hybridization to combine forms, colors, and qualities from different orchid lines.

This hybrid prefers warm conditions, good ventilation, and abundant light, ideally filtered or with a few hours of gentle sun. Water when the substrate is almost dry, ensuring excess water can drain freely; during active growth, it may require more frequent watering. Use a very airy substrate, composed mainly of medium-grain bark and materials that promote drainage. Maintain a humidity of approximately 50–70% and fertilize every 2–3 weeks with a balanced orchid fertilizer, always diluted.
