Prosthechea cochleata is an epiphytic orchid widely distributed in tropical America, from Florida and Mexico to the Caribbean and northern South America. It inhabits humid forests, mangroves, and other tropical environments, where its pseudobulbs produce inflorescences with yellowish-green sepals and petals and a distinctive dark, conch-shaped labellum. It blooms for an extended period, generally in racemes that emerge from mature pseudobulbs.

Care
They require the substrate to dry completely between waterings. Avoid waterlogging, as their roots are sensitive to excess water. They benefit from high ambient humidity.
They thrive in well-lit spaces, avoiding direct sun exposure, which can burn their leaves. Apply fertilizer before the flowering season to stimulate the formation of spikes and improve the size, quality, and quantity of their buds and corollas.
