Hoya pubicalyx (Red Hoya)

It requires moderate watering, allowing the substrate to partially dry between applications; in spring and summer, watering every 7–10 days is usually sufficient, reducing the frequency during autumn and winter. It benefits from light fertilization every 3–4 weeks during the growing season with a balanced fertilizer for houseplants or flowering plants. Use a very airy substrate with excellent drainage, preferably formulated with bark, coir, and perlite or equivalent materials.
It thrives best at temperatures between 18 to 30 °C, avoiding prolonged exposure below 10 °C. It prefers medium to high ambient humidity (50–70%), although it tolerates normal household environments if it has good ventilation. For abundant flowering, provide bright indirect light; it can also receive a few hours of soft morning sun, avoiding intense midday sun.
